Kill For...

Watching Dexter last night got me thinking...what would I kill for? hmmm..a lot, but only what I can't get my hands on, or can I? I can think of something every day of the week that I would kill for. I'll start small for now, once a week. Trying to keep a low profile, ya know? Wouldn't want to get caught..
This week I am killing for...
Marc Jacobs silk sequin ruffle skirt

I would die for this 80s inspired frock! Look at the attention to detail! Black silk, ruffles, and multicolored sequins! Say no more..this skirt is a show stopper!

Peace, Love, & Happiness

Peace signs are back in style, hallelujah!! I wouldn't exactly call it a trend since the peace sign envelops a belief that originated during the Vietnam War in the 60s, but hey it's fun and reminds me of the 90s (last time I sported the peace sign) and hippies! Yay! Keep the peace to a minimum though..here's a peace of what I am loving!

Mission Military

A-ten-hut! Military is a huge trend this fall..you name it..Pucci, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfield..they're all doing it! Something about the mixture of masculinity, brass buttons, and combat really gets me going! Although I would love to own designer regalia, I think I'll opt for a lower price point to pacify the bank account! Roger that?!

Seeing Dots

As I was reading my InStyle magazine this morning I ran across this picture of Chloe Sevigny in Isaac Mizrahi at the Emmys..

I absolutely loves the simplistic beauty of this one-shouldered gown, but I am indifferent of the current polka dot trend. Also, I can't decide if the AW09 trend is a rendition of the 50s housewife or a childish, whimsical trend..Maybe a little bit of both, hmm..I am second guessing my gut instinct due to these fun, flirty looks of AW09.

Cuff It!

I feel like Zelda the Warrior Princess when rocking a large piece of artsy metal on my wrist! Pair with a simple LBD or jeans and a tee for the fiercest effect, and make a statement with one of these chunky embellished cuffs this fall! With an accessory this bad I will be kicking ass and taking names...

Alexis Bittar scaled cuff $228
Rock & gunmetal

David Yurman large cushion cuff $2750
Fabulously faceted 18k stones, Wowzers!

Elizabeth and James sterling silver twig cuff $250

I will take one of each of these beautifully bold cuffs, what about you?

Dreamy Drapes

Fashion draping for Fall 09 reminds me of a grecian goddess..so fluid, feminine, and flattering. Nothing like any draping I have ever attempted, e.g. toga party. So drape yourself, and exude goddess status with beautiful, soft silhouettes this season!

Go Green!

So I thought I had experimented with every shade of the rainbow when it comes to my nails, but I was wrong..The newest nail trend finds its inspiration from the never ending eco issue. How clever! Express your inner green with these new cool colors!

Less is more?

Seems like every celebrity designer these days has a line in a department store or superstore, aka walmart and target.  Some of them are good, some are pretty awful, but for the most part it's a great alternative to short-lived trends.  So, I scooted around town this weekend to check out the newest celebrity collections to see what all the hype was about. But from bricks and clicks to bricks and mortar there wasn't much to look at! I figures it was a good sign that most of the collections were "sold out", and took a look online instead. Hey, if clothes are that fabulous and the price is right, why not order it and give it a whirl?! With this economy this may be the closest I get to designer digs! or not...here are some of my favorite Fall looks from I <3 Ronson for JCPenney, LC by Lauren Conrad at Kohl's, Anna Sui for Target, and Rachel Rachel Roy at Macy's!
Oversized Velvet T-shirt Dress by Rachel Roy? enough said! $129
